Town of McCandless, usually referred to as McCandless, offers mostly hilly terrain, areas of thick woodland, and a variety of home styles and a range of values, including new and large family homes in subdivisions, older homes on larger plots and new townhouses and apartment buildings. There are also numerous new home subdivision developments currently selling or in construction.


This area borders Ross Township and extends northward to include much of North Park, a 3,075 acre park. North Park is the largest park in the county including a golf course, swimming pool that can accommodate 5,000 locals on a hot day, ice-skating facilities, a large lake used for fishing, kayaking and paddle-boarding, picnic facilities and miles of developed biking and hiking trails. Parts of this park also extend into the adjacent suburbs of Hampton to the east and Pine Township to the north-east.
